Who do you work with?
I work with mainly solo or small business owners who want to improve their accounting systems, train staff, maximise their profits, or increase cash flow.
What services do you provide?
I provide 3 main services aimed at making your business accounting systems run as smoothly as possible:
- New Business start ups: I’ll guide you through all the procedures needed to set up a failsafe, no stress accounting system for your business. MYOB training, business plans, budgets, cash projection sheets, we’ll make sure everything is in place.
- Bookkeeping and Reporting: I oversee a handpicked team of professional bookkeepers who can take care of all your recording and reporting needs. Your records can be updated on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis. And, you have the added advantage of knowing all work is carefully monitored by a Certified Practising Accountant (myself) to ensure 100% performance and accuracy.
- Financial controlling: I can show how to grow your business, control cash flow, and introduce effective budgets. If you’re unable to afford a full time financial controller, I can tailor a service to suit your needs. For example, I may come in once a month or once a quarter to review your accounts and point out any issues/opportunities they reveal.
What if I only want a few services?
How many services you’d like is completely up to you. I’m here to help you, and solve your specific problems. I’ll always offer professional advice about what I think needs to be done for the health of your business, but how little or how much you "take on board" is up to you. The ball’s in your court!
What will it cost?
Costs depend very much on the type of service you require. I work with you to work out a schedule of services with a fixed budget. My services are priced with the small business in mind. I'm happy to provide you with a full costing in advance once we've clarified what services you may require.
Do you do tax?
No, I don’t do tax. This is a conscious decision on my part because you will actually save more money by using myself and a tax professional in conjunction with one another.
I’ll make sure your business books and reports are 100% accurate and formatted correctly, and your tax accountant will then need to spend only a minimum amount of time completing your tax (thus costing you far less).
This is a WIN/WIN situation for everyone…. You get the expertise of two specialists for less money as we’ll both do our jobs faster and bill less.
What if I don’t have any current financial figures?
Don’t worry - I’ll sit down with you and we’ll work through things together.
What if I receive figures each month but I can’t understand them?
No problems, I’ll explain in a very simple manner how you can get a grasp on what’s going on, and we’ll implement procedures and systems to make sure you can understand and use your figures in real time to help you manage and grow your business.

You’re not alone! Believe it or not this is a very common problem, and an area I enjoy sorting out as the results can be so dramatic. Once again we’ll sit down together and look carefully at how you can effectively manage and plan for constant cash flow.
Cash flow really is the life blood of any business, and there are checks, controls, plans, and budgeting tools you can implement to make sure you’re never "caught short"!

The short answer is :Yes, of course!" The longer answer would involve looking at exactly how much mess you’re in, and how close you are to being audited.
Can you train my staff in MYOB?
I have trained hundreds of staff and business owners in MYOB - I’d be delighted to share my expertise with you.

Control is always completely in your hands - I‘m here to serve you. If at any point you decide you no longer require my services, then all you have to do is let me know.

I’ve been a practising accountant for over 30 years, and have worked extensively in the commercial and corporate sectors. My formal qualifications are as follows:
- Fellow CPA (Certified Practising Accountants)
- Fellow Australian Institute of Chartered Secretaries
- Bachelor of Commerce
- Certificate IV Workplace Training
