Prior to engaging John we found the first nine months after purchasing our automatic gate business a frustrating experience.
Although we were extremely busy and sales were growing this was not flowing through to increased profits and furthermore our bank balance was actually declining.
John set us up on MYOB, trained the relevant staff, then sat down with us and together we came up with a set of key performance indicators for our business.
John then created a set of monthly reports that focused on these KPIs.
As a result of focusing on these KPIs we achieved amongst other things a reduction in our average debtors days outstanding from seventy days down to thirty five days which resulted in a significant improvement in our cash position. In addition, having the KPIs on hand each month gave us the confidence to fine tune the business structure and the products we were selling and this resulted in a significant improvement in our overall gross profit margin. Over the years our review meetings with John have ensured that our business has grown in both a profitable and sustainable fashion.
